Life Friendly is a collective formed at Chinese Arts Centre, interested in exploring ideas about a life-friendly working practice, originally developed by research consultant, Nadine Andrews from culture probe.
The Life Friendly programme at Chinese Arts Centre explored, in a systemic way how, artists and arts organisations can redesign their practice to have benign/restorative impact on the natural world and on human quality of life.
As a group we invited a host of guest speakers from artists and environmentalists to geologists and ergonomic experts, to share their expertise and link their knowledge to our aim of becoming more life-friendly. We then responded to the sessions, along with our own life-friendly based events in an attempt to find real practical solutions to a more sustainable practice, focusing on having positive impact on everything and everyone around us.
We are Life Friendly has kindly been supported by the Small Change Big Change fund (part of the MCLEF group)
